What You'll Do

  1. Select and evaluate System-on-Chip (SoC) platforms for XR and wearable computing applications.
  2. Define system architectures and select suitable peripherals, sensors, connectivity modules, displays, cameras, and other components.
  3. Design and review System-on-Module (SoM), carrier board, or motherboard architectures.
  4. Configure and maintain Linux Device Trees for embedded platforms.
  5. Build, customize, and optimize Linux distributions using the Yocto Project.
  6. Support hardware bring-up, debugging, validation, and performance optimization.
  7. Work closely with software, AI, optics, and mechanical engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  8. Analyze datasheets, reference designs, and technical documentation to drive engineering decisions.
  9. Participate in prototyping and transitioning designs toward production.

Required Experience

We are interested in engineers who have practical experience in several of the following areas:

  1. Linux Kernel Device Tree configuration and customization
  2. Building and maintaining Linux-based embedded systems using Yocto
  3. SoC evaluation and selection for embedded products
  4. Peripheral selection and integration for SoC-based systems
  5. SoM, carrier board, or motherboard design
  6. Hardware/software integration and board bring-up
  7. Working with common embedded interfaces such as SPI, I²C, UART, USB, Ethernet, PCIe, MIPI CSI/DSI, or similar
  8. PCB design experience using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or Cadence

Nice to Have

  1. Experience with ARM-based SoCs from vendors such as Qualcomm, NXP, AMD/Xilinx, TI, Rockchip, or similar
  2. Linux kernel or driver development experience
  3. Knowledge of camera systems, displays, sensors, wireless communication modules, or power management circuits
  4. Experience with wearable devices, smart glasses, AR/VR/XR systems
